Style shapes technique
This careful philological reconstruction that Zanotta has created of the Gilda armchair is really a nice tribute, which seems to surpass for constructive quality the possibilities that Carlo Mollino himself had practiced in 1953, when dealing with Pomella home furnishings designed two twin armchairs with reclining backrest, characterized by a shaped and sculpted solid wood structure, with two padded elements for seat and back, both conformed to linguistic and ergonomic choices, and with fixing and adjustment systems in metal made on design. / p>
Today the "extra" detail, made possible above all by the desire to fully underline the master's lesson, is the armrest / rear leg element built virtuously in a single piece (and no longer joined as in the original made by the talented artisans of Mollino), a solution that gives a further sculptural beauty to this object, honoring it with further value.
