Marco Zanuso's research on support structures to which the seat / seat element can be anchored dates back to the project for an armchair presented at the international design competition at the MoMA in New York in 1949.

FORMAL RIGOR
Starting from a matrix based on the geometry of the circle, Zanuso in 1964 created the Woodline design armchair with a wooden skeleton that gives a formal shape to the structure.
